Starting today, Amazon has launched a full week of early Black Friday deals, with new discounts rolling out daily leading up to the main event — as well as Cyber Monday. That means shoppers can score major savings right now, without waiting for the holiday weekend.
So if you're looking to purchase some travel essentials you've had your eye on — whether for yourself or a gift for someone special on your list — this early access window is the perfect chance to snag big markdowns before items sell out.
Below are some of the standout deals we've found that are available today, as well as some tips for finding the lowest prices. And, if you’re not already an Amazon Prime member, you can sign up for a free 30-day trial and have it for Amazon's Black Friday event.

While we usually recommend saving your points for travel redemptions that tend to get more value, it's sometimes worth using a point (or a few, if required) to pay at Amazon when special deals come around, just to reap the savings.
These offers are typically targeted, but there are several available right now that could save you money at Amazon during Black Friday, if you're eligible.
Currently, folks with an American Express card that earns Membership Rewards points can save as much as 50% off their Amazon purchases, up to a maximum of $80 off.

Discover cardholders have access to a similar offer right now. And while I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Chase will join the party soon, we haven't seen an offer from them in quite some time.

While pricing is typically competitive during Black Friday, you might find that a product isn't actually being sold at the lowest price of the year.
To check the price history of a product, I use the website CamelCamelCamel. Just plug in a product name or Amazon URL, and you'll see the pricing for it over the past year, including the lowest ever price, the current price, and the average price.
If there's a certain product you're looking to purchase, check all the color options, as you'll find they're sometimes less expensive than the "default" option.
Checking all the different variations can sometimes lead to the lowest available price, as long as you're flexible with your purchase.
