If you're looking to earn a big stash of Delta miles, their co-branded credit card with American Express provides a great opportunity. With six different Delta credit cards, you can earn up to 80,000 miles on these cards. However, we've seen higher offers in the past, so if you aren't in a rush, we suggest holding on on applying until a better offer surfaces.
There are currently three personal Delta credit cards and three business Delta credit cards. Let's take a look at them.
- Delta SkyMiles® Gold American Express Card: Earn 50,000 miles after spending $2,000 on eligible purchases in the first six months of card membership. $0 introductory annual fee for the first year, then $150 (terms apply, see rates and fees).
- Delta SkyMiles® Platinum American Express Card: Earn 60,000 miles after spending $3,000 on eligible purchases in the first six months of card membership. $350 annual fee (terms apply, see rates and fees).

The family of Delta credit cards offer a number of perks, so you can both travel in luxury and save money along the way. Despite the hefty annual fee on some of these cards, their benefits can easily offset the costs.
Here are some of our favorite Delta credit card perks...
- TakeOff15 — You'll get a 15% discount on all frequent flyer awards flown by Delta. For instance, let's say you're looking to book a trip that costs 25,000 Delta SkyMiles. By being a Delta cardmember, you'll actually only have to pay 21,200 miles. This benefit is available on all the Delta credit cards on our list above.
- Free checked bag — The primary Delta credit cardmember, plus up to eight travel companions on the same reservation, each get one checked bag for free on all Delta flights. For a family of four, this can be a significant savings on a roundtrip flight. This benefit is available on all the Delta credit cards on our list above.
- Companion certificate — With the Delta Platinum or Delta Platinum Business cards, you'll receive an annual companion certificate which can be used for a Main Cabin roundtrip ticket flight within the U.S., and to Mexico, the Caribbean or Central America. With the Delta Reserve or Delta Reserve Business, this certificate can be used on a First Class, Delta Comfort+ or Main Cabin roundtrip flight to the same destinations. In either case, you'll have to pay taxes and fees of no more than $80 for a roundtrip domestic flight, or no more than $250 for a roundtrip international flight.
- Airport lounge access — Those with the Delta Reserve or Delta Reserve Business cards get access to the Delta Sky Club, plus four guest passes. Starting in February 2025, cardmembers are limited to 15 visits per year. Cardmembers also receive access to American Express Centurion Lounges and Escape Lounges when flying Delta.
- Resy dining credits — Delta Platinum and Delta Platinum Business cardmembers receive up to $120 per calendar year (in portions of up to $10 per month) toward eligible purchases at Resy restaurants within the U.S. Delta Reserve and Delta Reserve Business cardmembers get up to $240 per calendar year (up to $20 per month). Enrollment required.
- Rideshare credit — Those with the Delta Platinum, Delta Platinum Business, Delta Reserve or Delta Reserve Business cards can earn up to $120 in statement credits (up to $10 per month) on U.S. rideshare purchases with select providers. Enrollment required.
With these welcome offers and some luxurious money-saving benefits, the Delta credit cards are highly worth considering — even if you only fly Delta once a year. But as previously stated, we've seen better offers on these six cards, so you might want to hold off if you don't have an immediate need.
