If you’ve ever booked a flight only to see the fare drop a few days later, you know how frustrating airfare pricing can be. While many airlines allow travelers to reprice their flight and receive the difference as a flight credit, keeping track of fare changes manually can be time-consuming and easy to forget.

Fortunately, there's a solution. The AI hotel-direct booking site Gondola is aiming to solve this problem with its newly introduced Flight AutoSave feature.

Gondola has already made a name for itself for helping travelers maximize both cash and points hotel bookings, and even monitoring rates after they've already booked a trip. Now it's bringing the same concept to airfare.

How Gondola's Flight AutoSave feature works

With Gondola's Flight AutoSave, users can link their eligible flight reservations to Gondola and the tool will automatically monitor the fare after booking. If the price drops, Gondola will automatically reprice the ticket and help travelers secure the difference as an airline credit — without the user needing to constantly check fares themselves.

The feature currently supports automatic repricing on eligible flights booked with major U.S. airlines including United, Delta, American, and Alaska. For airlines that aren't yet supported, such as Southwest and JetBlue, Gondola will still notify users if a lower fare becomes available so they can manually reprice.

A major benefit of this Flight AutoSave feature is that your reservation stays fully intact. There's no canceling and rebooking, and all components of your reservation stay the same, such as seat assignments.

Additionally, Gondola is providing this feature entirely free for its users. Unlike some competing airfare tracking services that charge subscription fees or take a percentage of the savings, Gondola allows travelers to keep the full value of any credits or savings generated through Flight AutoSave.

How Gondola can help on the hotel side

Gondola is primarily known as a hotel-booking and savings platform. One of its most useful features is the ability to compare cash rates and award rates across several major hotel loyalty programs in a single search (for free), making it easier to decide whether paying with points or cash offers the better value.

For travelers paying cash, Gondola works differently than many online travel agencies. With Gondola, hotel bookings are made directly with the hotel, meaning travelers can still earn hotel points, elite night credits, status benefits, and rewards from their credit card. On top of that, Gondola offers up to 7% cash back on eligible bookings that can be applied toward future hotel stays.

The platform also helps travelers save money after they book. Gondola monitors eligible hotel reservations for price drops and alerts users when a lower rate becomes available. Travelers who enable the company's AutoSave feature can even have eligible reservations automatically repriced, allowing them to lock in savings without constantly checking rates themselves.

An already-valuable tool just got better

For travelers who fly regularly or even just a few times a year, Gondola’s new Flight AutoSave feature could become one of the easiest ways to save money after booking, especially considering the service comes at no cost.

Combined with the platform's existing hotel booking, cash-back, and rate-monitoring tools, Flight AutoSave is another way Gondola is helping travelers maximize value both before and after they book.
