With back-to-school season right around the corner, parents are eager to book a last-minute trip before (or after) the kids head back to the classroom.

We’re just a few weeks away from September, and you may be thinking the deals have dried up. But there are some fantastic, last-minute options to several sunny destinations.

Whether you're eager to get a last-minute vacation in on a beach or in a big city, here are five deals I found using Points Path to maximize your points and miles.

Cheers with a Guinness in Dublin

Starting off the list is a fantastic deal to Dublin, Ireland, a great city to explore through food, drinks, music, and culture. Dublin is one of the most economical cities to plan a last-minute vacation, as you can typically find affordable hotels even a few days beforehand.

Through Points Path, we were able to score round-trip flights for just 33,000 Delta SkyMiles from Boston to Dublin in late August. For a last-minute flight, especially during peak season, this is a solid deal.

Check off the ABC Islands in Bonaire

If relaxing on the beach is more of your speed, look no further than Bonaire — part of the Caribbean Netherlands and the ABC (Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao) islands. It’s not every day that you find affordable points deals to Bonaire, but there are some solid last-minute deals to get you to and from the island before school starts in September.

You can book using American AAdvantage miles at just 15,000 miles round-trip from Miami — an absolutely fantastic deal for a flight that costs more than $1,000 round-trip.

Late summer in Honolulu

Hawaii is one of the most popular summer vacation destinations, and with good reason. With favorable weather year-round, affordable pricing, and no passport needed, it draws travelers near and far.

We’ve spotted some back-to-school travel deals from just 44,000 Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles round-trip. And thanks to Alaska merging with Hawaiian Airlines, you can book tickets on either airline.

Last-minute Disney World vacation

Disney World is always an excellent choice, whether you’re bringing the kids along or doing an adults-only trip. Luckily, tickets to Orlando are pretty affordable with cash or miles.

For instance, you can fly from Atlanta to Orlando starting from just 13,200 miles round-trip on Delta Air Lines. And given that you can transfer points from American Express Membership Rewards, this should be an easy ticket to book.

Celebrate Labor Day weekend in the West Indies

St. Lucia is one of the most gorgeous Caribbean islands, boasting mountainous terrain and pristine beaches. You can celebrate the U.S. Labor Day weekend abroad with this excellent deal from the New York area, which includes New York-JFK, New York-LGA, and Newark Liberty.

Finding back-to-school travel deals

School is almost back in session, but if you’re trying to cram in a last-minute trip, you still have plenty of options.

If any of the flights above catch your eye, you can find them using the Google Flights links below. Keep in mind that both cash and mileage fares fluctuate, so prices listed here were accurate when this story was published, but may differ if you search at a later date.

Whatever option you choose, make sure to install Points Path to find the best deals. You can use a desktop or laptop to view the prices in frequent flyer miles as well as cash, with suggestions on the best ways to book.
