For many families, spring break is right around the corner, which means it's a perfect time to go on that much-needed vacation. Of course, you might assume you're too late to the game to book a trip. But this is where frequent flyer miles can come in handy.

If you're yearning to get away for spring break — whether it's basking in the sun or exploring a new city — here are 5 deals we found with Points Path that utilize your points and miles.

Rest and relax on the beaches of Cancun

Since many airlines have flights to Cancun from around the country, you can find yourself on the beach in no time. And with a plethora of hotels, great weather, and plenty of activities to partake in, you're bound to enjoy your time at this international destination.

Using Points Path, we were able to find roundtrip flights for just 28,000 Delta SkyMiles from New York to Cancun. This is a solid deal, especially for the ideal Saturday-to-Saturday dates. Just make sure your passport is up-to-date.

Enjoy the Caribbean feel without leaving the U.S.

San Juan is the best of both worlds. You feel like you're in the Caribbean, but you don't have to worry about a passport. You're also closer to the United States, giving you more time to explore the island and less time in the air.

Although cash flights can be pricey, you can snag an itinerary with miles on American Airlines — but you can do it for less by using your Alaska Airlines miles.

Confused? Since Alaska is part of the oneworld alliance with American, it's possible to book flights on one airline with miles from the other. And right now, you can book a roundtrip American flight from Charlotte to San Juan, Puerto Rico for just 25,000 Alaska miles.

That same flight is almost twice the price if you were to use your American miles. And while Alaska miles can be hard to come by, you can transfer Bilt points to Alaska at a 1-to-1 ratio. Plus, earning Bilt Rewards points is incredibly easy — even if you don't have a credit card.

Get your last runs in on the slopes

With over 250 inches of snowfall at the summit already this season, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is a great place for skiers and boarders during spring break. And at just 35 minutes from the airport, you can be on the slopes in no time.

You can fly roundtrip to Jackson Hole from Dallas for just 15,000 Alaska miles or 22,000 American miles. And if your dates are flexible, Points Path will help you determine the best day to go and which program to use for your flight.

Spend spring break with the French

It's never too late for a true international trip across the pond — especially with points and miles at your disposal. And visiting European destinations such as Paris during shoulder season is ideal. You'll find fewer crowds, cheaper hotels, and milder weather.

For just 80,000 United miles, you can fly roundtrip during spring break to Paris from Dulles Airport, right outside of Washington DC, and save yourself over $1,300.

And if you don't have a stockpile of United miles, you're in luck. United is a transfer partner with both Chase Ultimate Rewards and Bilt Rewards, as well as Marriott Bonvoy.

Party in South Florida

When it comes to spring break, South Florida is top of mind for many, and there are many flights to destinations within the region. For cities with multiple airports nearby, make sure you expand your search to include all the surrounding airports and ensure you're finding the best flights.

During spring break, you can fly roundtrip from Boston to West Palm Beach for roughly 17,000 Delta miles or JetBlue points. The decision to use cash or points might come down to your desired travel time, as flights cost different amounts throughout the day — resulting in more or less value for your miles.

Also, remember that with JetBlue, the number of points needed is loosely tied to the cash price of the ticket. So you're not usually going to find either a horrible or amazing deal when it comes to using your points.

Finding cheap flights for spring break

For most, spring break will be here before you know it. But there's still time to get the family together and enjoy some quality time.

If you're interested in any of the above flights, here are the links to them in Google Flights. Remember that both cash and mileage airfares change over time. The prices in this story were accurate as of the date it was written, but you may see different pricing if you search later down the line.

You'll also need to install Points Path and use a desktop or laptop computer to view the prices in frequent flyer miles as well as cash.

And if none of these trips fit your needs, try a few searches of your own. With a little bit of work, you can find plenty of options to use your frequent flyer miles to enjoy your spring break vacation.
