With nearly a thousand flights behind me, you’d think I’d have this travel thing completely figured out. But year after year, I still stumble upon new items that make the whole travel experience smoother, easier, and way more enjoyable.

The only thing better than finding a genius travel hack is getting to share it with friends. So here are my top 19 items you probably didn’t know you needed — until now. (But trust me, you’ll wonder how you ever traveled without them.)

Charge one device with another

For those looking for a little bit of extra juice on your device, the Rolling Square inCharge 6 charges one device with the power of another. Keep it connected to your keychain or on your backpack, and you'll have charging access at all times.

While this simple device isn't meant to get your laptop from 0% to 100%, it's come in handy for me many times, such as when I need to power my earbuds from my cell phone.

A cup holder for your luggage

With only two hands in play, it's hard to juggle everything through the airport — especially a water bottle or a cup of coffee. That's where the riemot Luggage Travel Cup Holder comes in handy.

Just loop it onto your luggage handle, and you can easily take extra items with you on the go, such as your coffee or water cup, cell phone, sunglasses, or any other accessories that you need easy access to.

With the AirFly Pro, you can easily connect your wireless headphones to your plane's inflight seatback entertainment system without issue. It's the perfect solution for utilizing Bluetooth technology and leaving the wires behind.

The AirFly Pro plugged into a seatback entertainment system

My family and I used the AirFly Pro on our recent flight to Japan, and it worked incredibly well. It was easy to connect, and the sound quality was on par with the wired headphones we tried as well.
